NASCAR's Cody Ware: From Daytona to Talladega, Racing for Victory with Arby's Steak Nuggets (2025)

Imagine hurtling around a track at 200 mph, inches from your competitors, knowing one wrong move could end in disaster. That’s the reality for NASCAR drivers at superspeedways like Talladega, and Cody Ware is ready to conquer it. But here’s where it gets controversial: can his Daytona success translate to a Talladega triumph, or will the stakes—and the speed—prove too high?

Fresh off a standout performance at Daytona International Speedway, where he led an impressive 23 laps in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, Cody Ware is bringing his confidence and Arby’s Steak Nuggets sponsorship to Talladega Superspeedway for the YellaWood 500. At Daytona, Ware’s No. 51 Arby’s Ford Mustang Dark Horse wasn’t just a contender—it was a leader, consistently running in the top-10 and showcasing Ware’s aggressive yet calculated driving style. Now, he’s aiming to replicate that success at Talladega, a track that shares Daytona’s high-banked, D-shaped design but adds an extra .16 miles of heart-pounding speed.

Superspeedway racing, Ware explains, suits his driving style. ‘I’ve built up a lot of confidence at Daytona and Talladega,’ he said. ‘In the past, I was more cautious, but lately, I’ve ramped up my aggression without putting myself in bad spots. I’ve got the confidence to race hard, get up front, and stay there.’ And this is the part most people miss: it’s not just about speed—it’s about strategy, drafting, and knowing when to make bold moves.

Talladega, however, is no Daytona. While both tracks demand a sleek car and a heavy foot, Talladega’s longer straightaways and wider corners create a different kind of chaos. ‘Talladega is definitely faster,’ Ware noted. ‘Handling and balance don’t matter as much, but when things go wrong, they go wrong faster. There’s more room to dodge wrecks, but when they happen, they collect more cars. It’s carnage.’

Adding to the pressure? This is a playoff race. With only three races left in the season, drivers are either securing their spot in the Championship 4 or risking it all for a win. ‘Finishing second doesn’t cut it,’ Ware said. ‘Playoff drivers will make bolder moves, and that ramps up the aggression level.’

Off the track, Ware is also bringing something new to Talladega: Arby’s Steak Nuggets. Launched just last week, these bite-sized, hand-cut steak pieces are Ware’s go-to fuel. ‘They’re really good and convenient,’ he said. ‘When you’re always on the move, a sit-down steak dinner isn’t an option. But with Steak Nuggets, I can satisfy my steak craving anytime.’ For fans heading to Talladega, Arby’s locations in Pell City and Oxford are perfectly placed pit stops on the way to the track.

As Ware prepares for his 140th career Cup Series start, the question looms: Can he turn his Daytona success into a Talladega victory? With the speed, strategy, and steak all in place, Ware is ready to find out. But what do you think? Is Ware’s aggressive approach the key to winning, or will Talladega’s chaos prove too unpredictable? Let us know in the comments!
