Get ready, Siege fans! The highly anticipated Wildcards Siege event has just dropped into Rainbow Six Siege, and it's bringing a whirlwind of changes to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary! This event, running until January 5th, throws some seriously game-changing modifiers into the mix, all inspired by the history of Siege, and it's all about shaking things up in a big way.
What's the Buzz About?
Wildcards Siege throws you into the action on the reworked House map, but with a twist – it's set at dusk, giving a nostalgic vibe to your matches. But here's where it gets interesting: each round of these best-of-five Bomb mode showdowns, players vote on modifiers that will affect the gameplay. Think of it as a community-driven experiment! The top two voted modifiers get implemented, so every match feels unique.
Modifier Mayhem
The modifiers are where things get really interesting. Imagine a world where you can pick the same Operator multiple times with the Multi-pick modifier – a team of five Kapkans, anyone? Or, you can experience Tactical Realism, a throwback mode that strips away the HUD for a more immersive experience. Other modifiers might limit your Operator choices, force you to use a specific weapon type, or even reverse your movement inputs! And this is the part most people miss: the reversed movement input modifier is a nod to a notorious bug from Siege's past, so expect some fun chaos.
Nostalgia at Dusk
The event takes place on the iconic House map, but with a fresh coat of paint. House was the very first map shown when Rainbow Six Siege was revealed at E3 2014, and now, it's back in a dusk setting.
Community Creations
The Wildcards Siege event collection features four Operator bundles designed by talented artists from the Siege community. These artists worked hand-in-hand with the Siege dev team to bring their unique visions to life. You'll find a Smoke bundle by Leotta, a Valkyrie bundle by YiRan, a Nøkk bundle by LevaSoj, and a Vigil bundle by BlueberryCrunch.
Complete the Collection
Besides the community artist bundles, the event also offers a weapon kit with four weapon skins for the MP7, the 552 Commando, the UMP45, and the AK-12. There's also a signature bundle with a universal weapon skin, an attachment skin, a drone skin, and a charm. Complete the collection, and you'll snag the Memento reward: a 3D-animated legendary skin for the AR33, used by Thatcher and Flores.
